What to Do in Your First 100 Days in a New Home
The initial months of moving to a new home are incredibly exciting, with new doors and opportunities opening all the time. If you are looking at new homes for sale in Sarasota and preparing to settle down in a new location, there are many things to consider at this stage.
Tumblr media
The first one hundred days of living in a new home is a crucial opportunity to get to know the area and make any initial adjustments to your home. Here are some of the activities you should consider doing during this important early stage of moving to a new home.
Find Out What’s Nearby
During this period, you are likely to need access to certain services and amenities. These are likely to include shops and grocery stores, as well as banks, hairdressers, parks, and libraries. Finding out what is in your local area can help you gain vital knowledge about the nearby amenities and discover what is available within walking or driving distance.
Consider making a list on your phone or in a notebook detailing all the useful services and amenities you have found. Many new homes for sale are located in areas that bring easy access to many of the essentials that people need for a good standard of living.
Host a Housewarming Party
In the initial months of living in a new home, consider hosting a housewarming party. This is a chance to welcome your friends and family to your new home and feel proud about what you have achieved. Consider inviting your new neighbors, as this can be a fantastic way to meet new people and build connections as you settle into a new home in Sarasota.
Hosting a housewarming party within the first hundred days of moving to your new home will give you a chance to settle down a bit before welcoming other people in. Your home will still feel new after the first few weeks, but you will have had time to find your feet before getting ready to host a big party!
Make Any Adjustments to Your Home
Once you have moved into your beautiful new home, you can begin to think about any adjustments you want to make. These may be as simple as adding some personal touches and setting up your own ornaments or furnishings. Alternatively, you may wish to make significant changes to your home, such as repainting the walls or changing the flooring. Whatever you decide to do, the initial months of moving in are the ideal time to think about these changes and create a plan for the future.
Find Out About Important Local Services
It is also important to get to know your neighborhood and find out about important local services, such as emergency services and other local contacts. These may not be necessary right now, but they could prove vital in the future as you begin to settle into your new home.
New homes for sale can often be found in busy areas with fast access to emergency services. There may also be rules that you should be aware of within the local community, especially if you are living in a new home community that is separate from the rest of the area. Equipping yourself with information about local services can serve you well in the long term.
Buying New Homes for Sale in Florida
Consider viewing new homes for sale in Sarasota that are situated within beautiful new home communities like Vistera of Venice. These gorgeous homes will definitely make you feel excited about the first hundred days of living here!

Striking Great Deals When Buying Your New Ottawa Home
Tumblr media
A new home is definitely going to be one of the biggest investments of your lifetime. It is natural to want to get the best possible deal when you are searching for home for sale in Ottawa. However, with a competitive real estate market and fluctuating prices, it can be challenging to know how to negotiate and strike a great deal when buying a new Ottawa home. Let us explore some tips and strategies for getting the best possible deal on your new home purchase.
Firstly, it is important to do your homework to know more about the current market conditions. This means staying up to date on real estate trends and developments in Ottawa, including changes in housing inventory, interest rates, and local economic conditions. By understanding the current state of the market, you can identify areas where you may be able to negotiate a better deal.
Another key strategy for getting a great deal on the house for sale in Ottawa is to work with a knowledgeable and experienced real estate agent. An experienced agent can help you navigate the complexities of the buying process and can provide valuable insights and guidance on negotiating a fair price. They can also help you identify properties that are priced below market value or that have been on the market for an extended period, which may be more likely to be open to negotiation.
In addition to working with a real estate agent, it's important to be prepared and flexible in your search for a new home. This means having a clear understanding of your budget and priorities, as well as being open to different neighbourhoods, property types, and amenities. By being flexible and open-minded, you may be able to identify properties that are undervalued or that have potential for appreciation, which can help you get a better deal in the long run.
When it comes to negotiating the purchase price of your new home, it's important to be strategic and patient. You should also be prepared to make concessions or adjustments in your offer based on the seller's response, such as adjusting the closing date or offering a higher deposit.
Another important factor to consider when negotiating the purchase price of your new Ottawa home is the condition of the property. However, it's important to be realistic and fair in your expectations, and to work with your real estate agent to determine a reasonable estimate of the repair costs.

Byrd: Dad? Oscar: Morning, bud.. miserable day, huh? I’m not looking forward to packing up in the rain. Oscar: Did you sleep okay? Byrd: Erm… Oscar: GO GET YOUR HEARING AIDS! [Byrd fidgeted guilty, implying that he’d lost yet another pair] Byrd: [sobs] Why do I have to be deaf without them, papa-.. s’not fair. [Oscar held Byrd tightly, stroking his back until his sobs subsided somewhat] Oscar: LET’S SEE WHAT WE CAN DO… [Oscar plonked Byrd outside as he rummaged through his bags, eventually producing a backup pair of hearing aids] Oscar: Better? [Byrd nodded gratefully, burying his snotty nose in his father’s hair as he threw his arms around him] Oscar: Maybe you ought to think twice about learning SSL. Byrd: What’s the point? No one else knows it. Oscar: Robin does, and we all know bits n’ pieces, don’t we? [Byrd grumbled disinterestedly] Oscar: I think it’s long overdue, pal-.. what if we all learn it together? Properly this time. Byrd: I guess… Oscar: All I heard was yes. Byrd: Are you deaf too? Oscar: [snorts] C’mon, we’ll probably find the other pairs as we clear up. Wren: Daaaaad, it’s raining! Oscar: The faster we get goin’, the faster we’ll be in the car-.. I bet Wren can pack up faster than you. Byrd: [gasps] NO WAY! [rain pattering]

Ride (Chotun Puttipong) is just an anonymous delivery driver. His helmet, his headlessness, even his name all alienate him from any personal identity. He is simply the labor he provides and nothing more. When Tarnsai (Jennie Panhan) cares enough to appreciate his work (that he would drive late in the rain when others weren't willing) and offer him a cup of coffee (a gesture that has more personal meaning rather than just the money he's earned) he removes his helmet to reveal a face, a real human being, that Tarnsai can form a connection with.
People often misunderstand Marxism as anti-labor, when it's chief concern is actually the dehumanization of the people who are laboring. Peaceful Property is so profoundly interested in remembering the human lives of forgotten laborers. They had struggles and loved ones and dreams and faces. They dreamed of better lives, of homes they could go to when all the work was done. But it's not just the ghosts. Look at how the team had to investigate through pages of renters' names to find Tarnsai because the landlord had no relationship to the tenets. Marxist alienation is about the loneliness everyone can feel when we're limited to these empty commodified relationships.

Well, this was a flop. Apparently, the person who won the HGTV Dream Home opted to take the money instead, so HGTV sells it. This is the 2022 home and it's STILL on the market. The home, built in 2021, in Castle Hayne, NC, has 3bds, 3ba, was cut $15K, and they're asking $1.4M + $223mo. HOA (why would you give away a home w/an HOA?) So, let's see what we have here.
Tumblr media
In addition to winning the home, the winner got a Mercedes Benz and $100K. Yeah, she would have to use the $100K to pay all the taxes.
Tumblr media
Immediately off the entrance hall is a home office. And, here we go with the gray.
Tumblr media
They went with a local builder and designer. The living room has built-ins on both sides of the fireplace, a coffered ceiling painted white and very neutral furnishings.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The kitchen has a large island that contrasts with the griege cabinetry.
Tumblr media
There's no formal dining room, but there's seating for 4 at the counter.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Plus, a built-in banquette with a table & chairs for casual seating that fits about 8.
Tumblr media
Off the kitchen there's a powder room. I feel a little dizzy.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The 1st fl. primary bedroom isn't terribly big. I don't care for the bed. And, it also has doors to the patio.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The en-suite and walk-in closet.
Tumblr media
The bath has a wet room (a bath tub inside a shower).
Tumblr media
Enclosed porch off the living room.
Tumblr media
The 2nd fl. landing.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Bedroom #2 is pretty spacious. It has a small sitting nook outside the en-suite.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
It has a smaller en-suite, but it has a large double sink.
Tumblr media
Double doors open to a spacious family room, complete with a craft/play area.
Tumblr media
And, it also has an enclosed deck.
Tumblr media
Outside there's a deck and a screened porch.
Tumblr media
In a private area near the kitchen, there's an outdoor kitchen.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Then down in the yard there's a pool with a lounging area under a pergola.
Tumblr media
In the corner, there's a fire pit.
Tumblr media
The community has access to the Northeast Cape Fear River.
Tumblr media
The house is on a 10,018 sq ft lot.

Listen. I know it probably means nothing. And I'm definitely overthinking this. But can someone explain why this scene is haunting my existence and breaking my heart!?!
Tumblr media
Like the framing- does it mean something that Pang, Kan and Home are on one side and Peach is on the other?
I don't know why my brain jumped to conclusions at this framing, but there's clearly still enough space for all 4 of them to be on the same side of the column and not hit their heads (or some safety issue like that).
Does this have something to do with Peach wanting to sit next to Home but Kan had that space so he took the next closest spot. But there is still a big barrier they have to cross to get there? (Because ouch, the romantic symbolism of that! They keep saying it's not a BL, and yet the frekin metaphors) there's still something holding them back from being too close?
Does Peach have a bigger secret we don't know about??
Or is it because Peach might actually die at the end of the series (don't make that happen, istg P'Dome!) because it's almost like he's taking care of them from the other side (he got them all food and woke Home up and made sure all 3 of them are fed. Food is definitely his love language 🥺).
Or have I just gone crazy about the minor details of this show, they just decided it was fun framing to ISOLATE ONE CHARACTER! Who's to say ig...

HomePeach Scenes because I love them (5 ¦ ??)
Pa: "Peach. Why is this ghost so angry?" Pe: "I don't know." H: "I bet the cheap sandwich you made wasn't a hit with her." Pe: "What's your problem with my sandwich?" H: "You heard her story. She was a thief in life. She probably never had money to buy what she actually liked. Maybe we should give her something expensive." Pe: "How'd you know she'd want something expensive? Or is that the attitude rich people like you always have of poor people?" H: "I'm not saying it because I'm rich. This is all based on facts. You're the problem. Did you make cheap food because you have to do this gig for free? It was smart of me not to pay in advance." Pe: "Just do whatever you want then! I'm out of here." H: "It's not like I need you!" Pa: "Home. Please calm down. I'll talk to him. Peach! Peach!"
